Fall Outreach Event This Saturday

On Saturday, November 20th (the Saturday before Thanksgiving) we will be holding an Outreach Event in the Church parking lot, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The Event is to gather goods/funds for Interchange Food Pantry and Repairers of the Breach, the two charities with which Deacon Sheila Scott has been involved (though she has certainly been involved in some way with all of them!) while with us at St. Paul’s, to recognize, honor, and THANK her for her efforts, her presence with us, and her GIVING of time, talent, and treasure.

George Neureuter, Director of Interchange Food Pantry, has suggested these “Top 5” items:

· Canned peaches

· Canned pears

· Canned mandarin oranges

· Canned mixed fruit

· The ever-delightful and in-demand peanut butter

Pastor West of Repairers of the Breach provided the following (he provided a long list; these are the priority items):

Shelter:

· Deodorant

· Toothpaste and mouthwash

· Razors

· Foot & Hand warmers

· Chap stick

· Shaving Cream

· Soap (travel sized)

 Women

Underwear (all sizes)

Men:

· White and black socks

· Underwear (all sizes)

· T-shirts (all sizes)

A more complete list is available in the Apostle, in the information nook at the Church, or from Sandra Halgerson (shalgerson@hotmail.com, 414-218-4752).
